From sim to shining sim

I can has kitteh!

This ADORABLE little guy is a silver tabby kitten from A.I.Friends. After spending just a few minutes playing with him, I can already tell I’ll be going back for some – or maybe ALL – of the other breeds available.

Picking out which breed I wanted was tough – I really, REALLY liked the Persian, the Desert Fox and the Bombay, and I wouldn’t have said no to any of the others. I already have a number of cats from other places, but not a single one that’s even close to a silver tabby, and that was the decision-breaker for me.

First order of business was to attach the UI HUD, which has 18 buttons you can use to control and interact with your new kitten (there are puppies available too – four colors of Corgi and a Yorkshire Terrier). Next he needed a name – one reason I wanted the silver tabby was because my most recent feline adoption happens to be the same color, so Minni it was.

I checked out some of the features available. You can get clothes for your pets, feed them, give them baths, pet them, or tell them to follow you. If you get confused and need help but don’t feel like digging through your inventory to find the notecards that came with your kitty, you can click a button on the HUD and load the A.I.Friends website.

And then things started getting unbearably cute, to the point where I considered IMing the creator and asking to be banned from the sim before I lost all my Linden.

I clicked the Hug button on the HUD, and Minni jumped up into my arms and then cuddled up on my shoulder, rubbing his nose against my face (the real Minni does the exact same thing, right down to the jumping up on me part). He closed his eyes. He yawned. His fuzzy little tail swished.

There went my heart.

I posted earlier about how Cheiliog, my first sionChicken, sometimes manages to flip himself over when he’s waddling around my domed atrium floor. Last night I got a snapshot of him. (The colors are a little off because it was night when I took the pic, so I Photoshopped it to make it easier to see him.)

Oops! Cheiliog has the run of the house now, but he sometimes managed to flip himself while he was still living in the atrium.

Who knew a rooster could be so acrobatic?

The bars show his age (green), his anger level (yellow), his fatigue level (turquoise) and his hunger level (red). As you can see, hanging out upside down doesn’t make him angry at all.

I took pity on the poor little guy, though, and moved him out of the atrium. Now he has the run of the house along with a baby parrot I got from LOLO Pet Shop, which is definitely one of the MUST-SEE places in SL.

Addie is off catching worms with her kids, but says she has a notecard for me on ways of transporting chickens to new regions. I like the sound of this.
